shreshtha contributes this snippet from MIT's Technology Review: "Martin Rinard, a professor of computer science at MIT, is unabashed about the ultimate goal of his group's research: 'delivering an immortal, invulnerable program.' In work presented this month at the ACM Symposium on Operating Systems Principles in Big Sky, MT, his group has developed software that can find and fix certain types of software bugs within a matter of minutes." Interestingly, this software doesn't need access to the source code of the target program.pa href="http://science.slashdot.org/story/09/10/29/2248246/Fixing-Bugs-But-Bypassing-the-Source-Code?from=rss"img src="http://developers.slashdot.org/slashdot-it.pl?from=rssamp;op=imageamp;style=h0amp;sid=09/10/29/2248246"/a/ppa href="http://science.slashdot.org/story/09/10/29/2248246/Fixing-Bugs-But-Bypassing-the-Source-Code?from=rss"Read more of this story/a at Slashdot./ppa href="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/7NXpXOl6MaupZ9huCzR_TzdcYPA/0/da"img src="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/7NXpXOl6MaupZ9huCzR_TzdcYPA/0/di" border="0" ismap="true"/img/abr/a href="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/7NXpXOl6MaupZ9huCzR_TzdcYPA/1/da"img src="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/7NXpXOl6MaupZ9huCzR_TzdcYPA/1/di" border="0" ismap="true"/img/a/pimg src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Slashdot/slashdotDevelopers/~4/_zCoCE5ZWHc" height="1" width="1"/
