OneC0de writes "I am the Director of IT for a small/medium sized marketing company, where I personally write the code that runs our applications. We use a variety of technology at our office, the majority of which rely on MS-SQL and MySQL databases. I am familiar with tables, SQL queries, and have a general understanding of how the SQL databases work. What I'm looking for is a good book, particularly a newer book, to explain general database design techniques, and maybe explain some relational tables. We have some tables that have million of rows, and I'd like to know the best method of designing these tables."pa href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fask.slashdot.org%2Fstory %2F10%2F07%2F08%2F2142211%2FGood-Database-Design-Books" target="_blank" title="Share on Facebook"img src="http://a.fsdn.com/sd/facebook_icon_large.png"/a a href="http://twitter.com/home?status=Good+Database+Design+Books%3F%3A+http% 3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FdgPqQ8" target="_blank" title="Share on Twitter"img src="http://a.fsdn.com/sd/twitter_icon_large.png"/a/ppa href="http://ask.slashdot.org/story/10/07/08/2142211/Good-Database-Design-Books?from=rss"Read more of this story/a at Slashdot./ppa href="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/bhnCiSL2y0jjDRsHQQS_N4SKHlk/0/da"img src="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/bhnCiSL2y0jjDRsHQQS_N4SKHlk/0/di" border="0" ismap="true"/img/abr/a href="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/bhnCiSL2y0jjDRsHQQS_N4SKHlk/1/da"img src="http://feedads.g.doubleclick.net/~at/bhnCiSL2y0jjDRsHQQS_N4SKHlk/1/di" border="0" ismap="true"/img/a/pimg src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Slashdot/slashdotDevelopers/~4/MCvWSNA1jas" height="1" width="1"/
