First time accepted submitter JavaBear writes "Oracle have just released the u7 release of their Java 7. From the article: 'In response to the findings of a recent vulnerability in Java 7 that was being exploited by malware developers, Oracle has released an official patch that takes care of the problem. In the past week, a new vulnerability was unveiled in Oracle's Java 7 runtime, which has been used by hackers in targeted attacks on Windows-based systems. Similar to the recent Flashback malware in OS X, this vulnerability allows criminals to create a drive-by hack where the only action needed to compromise a system is to visit a rogue Web page that hosts a malicious Java applet."http://a.fsdn.com/sd/twitter_icon_large.png (http://twitter.com/home?status=Oracle+Patches+Java+7+Vulnerability%3A +http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FQZj0X8)http://a.fsdn.com/sd/facebook_icon_large.png (http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fdevelopers.slashdot.org% 2Fstory%2F12%2F08%2F30%2F2312207%2Foracle-patches-java-7-vulnerability%3Futm_source%3Dslashdot%26utm_medium %3Dfacebook)http://www.gstatic.com/images/icons/gplus-16.png (http://plus.google.com/share?url=http://developers.slashdot.org/story/12/08/30/2312207/oracle-patches-java-7-vulnerability?utm_source=slashdot&utm_medium=googleplus)
