View difference between Firefox and Internet Explorer

Hey, I've made this gallery script and I've added a div window that shows the information of the jeweleries. The border of it is in the style of dashed but it seems to have different views on Firefox than in IE. I've taken a screen shot to help understanding this issue much clearer: Image:...

Different viewing under Firefox and Internet Explorer

I have that same exact problem for my website. Have you figured it out yet? Is it something that has to do with the codes being written differently?

The property "border:dashed" has a bug in IE6 ( I think it was fixed in IE7).

You'll probably need to make a background image to get a consistant effect cross-browser.

If I recall correctly, IE6 makes it a 2px x 5px big old honking dash ;)

Firefox has a powerful extension system, IE doesn't.

Firefox can be themed, IE can't.

Firefox is released by Mozilla, IE is released by Microsoft

Firefox is available for Windows, Linux, BSD, OS X, and lots of other platforms. IE is only available for Windows.

Firefox has measurably better support for the file formats that are used to create webpages.

Firefox has a better security record than Internet Explorer.
